Daoly BaZi chart with the Four Pillars

Your sun sign was the introduction. This is the rest of the story.

Four pillars. Eight characters. Five elements in motion.

Daoly keeps the real structure of BaZi, the I Ching, and Wu Xing visible, then explains it in modern English. You get a map for reflection—not a personality quiz, a lucky-number generator, or a verdict about your future.

What is BaZi?

BaZi, also called the Four Pillars of Destiny, turns your birth year, month, day, and hour into eight Chinese characters. Their stems, branches, and elements describe a personal pattern—not a fixed verdict.

How is BaZi different from Western astrology?

Western astrology reads planetary positions and zodiac signs. BaZi uses the Chinese solar calendar, Four Pillars, Heavenly Stems, Earthly Branches, and Five Elements. Daoly keeps that original structure visible while explaining it in modern English.

What is a Day Master?

Your Day Master is the Heavenly Stem in the day pillar. It acts as the reference point for reading element strength, the Ten Gods, tensions, and major life cycles across the rest of the chart.

How does an I Ching reading work?

Ask an open question and complete six three-coin tosses. Each toss forms a solid or broken line; together they create one of 64 hexagrams, with changing lines when the result moves.

Does Daoly predict the future?

No. Daoly is designed for self-reflection, not prediction. It does not promise lucky numbers, soulmate scores, medical guidance, or certainty about what will happen.

Can I use Daoly without an exact birth time?

Yes. Birth time is optional, although adding it completes the hour pillar and gives the chart more detail. You can begin with the birth information you know.

How does Daoly handle birth information?

Birth profiles and chart calculations stay on your device. Some generated readings, account features, and invitations require authenticated online services. You can edit, export, and delete saved profile data.

Is Daoly free?

Daoly is free to download on iPhone and includes a useful starting experience. Optional Daoly+ upgrades unlock deeper reports and higher reading limits. Current prices and terms appear in the App Store and in the app.
